“And…he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth forever.” (II Chronicles 20:21) Just as Jehoshaphat had chosen singers to go out before the battle to confuse the enemy, the Holy Ghost birthed this ministerial foundation in Marcus Scott with the formation of the Ministers of Judah. Founded in August 2003, the ministry originally consisted of 20 members regaling from many different backgrounds and denominations coming together for the sole purpose of glorifying God.
Following the commencement of the ministry, the Ministers suffered many trials, enduring seasons of disappointments and separation which would leave the ministry dormant from 2004-2006. Nevertheless, God had a plan for this spirit-filled ministry that involved a refinement process of being tried in the fire, for the flesh to be crucified, and for the old man to be removed. From these ashes remain, part of the “Remnant Worshipers”, God’s Appointed Worship Leaders, along with the skillful, musical and spiritual head, Marcus Scott, the Chenaniah. They are determined to carry out the assignment of God: to reinstitute the Tabernacle in the last days, and to walk in the priestly anointing that will destroy the yokes of all sin. Empowered with a clearer vision and new music, the ministry of the Ministers Judah recommenced at the end of 2006 leading up to its first recording in December 2007.
The premise and foundation of the Ministers of Judah is worship. “God is Spirit, and they worship Him must Him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24) This simply means that the spirit that dwells within us communes with the Spirit of the Lord according to the word of God. So in order for us to truly worship the Lord, we must pattern our lives in obedience to the word. Thus the ultimate worship unto God is your life. “I beseech ye brethren…that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1)
