Retlaw was Born and Raised in Bronx, New York. He started as an MC rhyming in a group called 3-D (which included Aja Brown and Lyrical Loonatic now known as DJ Moe Chandon) doing ciphers, shows and rippin’ open MIC sessions. As a result to the fire that 3-D brought to the table, independent production companies started knocking at the door. After signing with the now defunct Skunk Entertainment, 3-D secured a spot with a hot song called Lyrical High on the 4 song compilation E.P. College and commercial Radio stations, Hot 97 being one of them played the song. Lyrical high became an underground hit.
After Skunk Entertainment folded, 3-D broke up on friendly terms. Retlaw went solo writing and producing his own songs. After many attempt in trying to get a record deal with no success, Retlaw started SpazDogg Entertainment. Now he’s behind the boards making fire beats that many MC’s are trying to snatch up. So what does Retlaw do? Put together a hot compilation album with some of the hottest MC’s from Bronx & Brooklyn.
