Sergey Achkasov is a musician, pastor and missionary from the Moscow region in Russia. He is pastor of the church Ark of Salvation in Klimovsk, Moscow region. Aside from this, he also serves as a missionary in the central region of Russia, ministering with the Word of God and music, and taking part in Christian conferences and evangelistic events. During the past 10 years, he has planted several churches in Moscow, the Moscow region and central Russia. He studied piano from the age of 4 at the Moscow Central Music School and the Moscow Conservatory of Music.
He produces devotional music CDs with the goal of bringing people into experiencing the Presence of God and power of the Holy Sprit. This is Sergey’s description of the origin of “Fire of the Holy Sprit.”
…Earth-shattering events had taken place in my life. It was really a “dark night of the soul.” I was in desperate need of the Lord, like never before. I tearfully cried out to Him for help with all of my soul… Suddenly something unusual happened… Never before in my life have I experienced such deep, close communion with God… It was Heaven on earth! Finding myself at the keyboard, I suddenly felt that I needed to work out a program for recording… All at once I realized that I had become a living musical instrument of the Lord… I observed the movements of my hands on the keys as if I was an onlooker… He played these 11 pieces Himself — the great Creator and Composer, using my body as a “musical instrument.” As I observed what was happening, I became aware of the reality of the Truth of God’s Word: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” (Galatians 2:19-20)
The purpose of life is to simply be an instrument in God’s hands! I give Him Glory!
