Saturday June 28th 2008, marks the release of “Seize The Day”, Sean Douglas’ hotly anticipated EP as well as the date of the star studded release party to celebrate it. A lot of buzz has already been generated from the songs that have been posted on myspace and other social networking sites. CD’s and free merchandise will be available at the release party.
Although this is the debut EP under the name Sean Douglas, Sean Douglas is no new-comer to the music business. Sean has performed in Los Angeles and the surrounding cities for over ten years now and produced 3 high quality CDs. Sean Douglas has performed at such notable venues as House of Blues, The Viper room, The Knitting factory, The Troubadour and The Roxy. Sean Douglas’ music is featured in an upcoming feature film titled “Doorman”, set for released in mid 2008. As well, Sean has lent his raps to many TV commercials including one for McDonald’s “I’m loving it’ campaign and another for a national ‘Transformers’ spot. Sean has been a two-time awardee of the ASCAP music plus awards and was selected (among hundreds of applicants) to participate in the prestigious Lester Sill songwriters workshop.
Sean Douglas’ career plan is to spend the better part of 2008 touring and performing live to continue generating his fan base and buzz. Once the fan-base is secured, Sean intends to attract the interest of a major record label, record many albums, and eventually launch his own mini-major label with his musical partner and producer, Marko Jankovic. Together they will not only continue to build the Sean Douglas brand but produce and promote other up and coming artists with similar visions and artistic/ musical sensibilities.
