Memories of You by WEN
A celebration album honouring the unsung heroes of our time such as the war veterans, parents, grandparents and those who have relentlessly made many sacrifices to benefit others, but often unrecognized, unappreciated and even forgotten!
The cover song “Memories of You” was inspired by a war veteran who served, sacrificed and had given all … survived, returned home alive [but not so well] with medals of recognition and honour … but no job, no home and no one to come home to.
Other song selections and medleys are to celebrate our moms, dads, grandpa, grandma and loved ones.
WEN was born on the coffee island of Java, Indonesia, grew up on paradise island of Oahu, Hawaii and lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Toronto and now Whitby, Ontario, Canada. He started his professional singing career at the age of 9 years old in Asia, known as “The Boy Wonder of the Orient” at the age of 10, recorded cover song “Nobody’s Child” with Polydor Records of Singapore at 11, performed in night clubs, television, radio and films as a child prodigy through out Asia.
WEN graduated with honour from the prestigious, American Academy of Dramatic Arts of Pasadena, pursued television, film and stage in Hollywood and Toronto. He has the privilege of studying with some of the Hollywood’s legendary teachers and coaches, inspired by Toronto’s greatest dance and voice mentors, directed by some of the finest directors and choreographers in the business.
WEN’s deep commitment is to continue sharing and bringing quality, interactive, inspiring and live musical performance to audiences at the convenience and comfort of their natural surroundings – especially those with limited ability to travel to the various venues or simply cannot afford the price of admission.
The success of “Memories of You by WEN” would ensure that our unsung heroes could continue enjoying ‘live’ quality, interactive and inspiring musical entertainment in the comfort of their own home away from home.
Hopefully this album would inspire us and our youths to set aside more of our valuable schedule to spend more time with our heroes and show them our appreciation and respect with regard to all they have done for us.
