Details:
This 21 year-old, New York City based songwriter/arranger/musician has been born and bred in the rock and roll mold. Greg''s mastery of every major rock instrument is dumbfounding. He plays guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, drums, as well as trombone. Greg learned all of these instruments in the Purchase, New York basement studio built by his rockstar father, Bob Mayo. In this subterranean enclave, Greg watched, listened, and learned as his father practiced in between tours with Peter Frampton, Hall and Oates, Robert Plant, Aerosmith, Joe Walsh, and Foreigner, to name a few bands he played with. During his father''s absences on the road, Greg took his place under the platinum records mounted on the wall and grew into his rock virtuosity, grew into his personal musical sound, and grew closer to his distant father.

Greg''s music is based in pop/rock with jazz and soul infusions. The music has been described as Stevie Wonder meets Stevie Ray Vaughan. His style''s appeal transcends all age groups and musical tastes. Mayo''s songs are filled with catchy choruses and groove based rhythms that have captivated a variety of different audiences all over the Northeastern United States. The bluesy guitar licks combined with the funky horn lines create an interesting combination for anyone who listens.
