I have been in the field of Probation for 25 yrs.
Have you ever been in a court room watching a man being convicted to State Prision, and seeing him shake like a leaf uncontrolably? Have you ever seen the look on a kids face as he is sentenced to Juvenile Prision for 3-5 yrs? Have you ever heard the mother crying as they take him away?
I have.
It is a feeling of helplesness. Then.... there are victims in life as well. How do we help them? The success stories are far and few between. It is hard to work day after day, year after year....and not be moved by the pain. More money is being spent on the building of new jails and prisions every year. More people are hurting today and in pain than ever before. Where is this all going?
I have come to believe that the power of God''s love; the power of prayer; the message of Christ to the world are what can change the heart and soul of a human being.
In a moment of grace they could do what the courts could never do. It is through my faith, that I have decided that I can better serve the world with a Christian message of faith, hope, and love.
It was about three years ago that I made a decision to finally dedicate myself to writing and performing Christian music.
"God''s Great Universe" and "Pray On", have taken 2 years to complete. On July 31st. 2003 - the same week that I completed my 1st CD, I was offered an early retirement from my Adult Probation job. I understood this as the Lord''s way of calling me to sing for Him.
"God''s Great Universe" CD is a lively, rhythmic passion filled CD with rich musical testures and dynamic harmonies. It expresses teh agony of hte cross and the joy of the resurrection. It is filled with songs of thanksgiving and praise. "God''s Great Universe" is an easy listening experience and will leave you feeling good and wanting to play it again and again.
My hope is that even one song will fill your heart and soul with the glimpse of the love God has to share with each one of us who call upon His Holy name.
