ROCK: 70''s Rock, ROCK: Classic Rock

Details:
When 707’s self-titled debut album was released the world of AOR took immediate notice. From takeoff to landing this album was filled with rock anthems that were supported by top-notch musicianship. The leadoff single, I Could Be Good For You, was an instant rock radio smash and garnered the foursome tremendous national airplay and stints on Solid Gold, Midnight Special and The Mike Douglas Show. The group hit the road and never looked back.

For their sophomore studio effort, aptly entitled The Second Album, 707 continued by writing and recording some truly classic tunes like Rockin’ Is Easy, City Life and Strings Around My Heart. It wasn’t only rock fans around the world that took notice to 707’s sound. Many groups became fans themselves. Among them was REO Speedwagon, who invited 707 to support them on their hugely successful High Infidelity tour. Whether it was at a concert of their own on the bill for an arena show, 707’s musical prowess is a given.

Fast forward to 2007. GB Music is thrilled to have uncovered a rare 707 concert. 707: Greatest Hits Live shows that Phil Bryant, Tod Howarth, Jim McClarty and Kevin Russell were as much at home in front of a crowd as they were in the studio. This CD is note for note how it happened 20+ years ago. There are no overdubs or studio trickery as on many of today’s live releases. Greatest Hits Live is 707 at their best: raw and rocking.

People who are interested in REO Speedwagon Ted Nugent New England should consider this download.
