Born in Caxias do Sul, a small city in the southernmost Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul and started to sing and play the guitar in the age of 5. Started her professional career as a singer in Porto Alegre having as a God Father the famous bolero’s singer Lucho Gatica.. Moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1983 and worked as a Backing Vocal Singer with Catia de França a famous forró composer from Paraiba. Later Ana sang on the most famous Jazz Club in Rio that time “Caligula” for 3 years. Later worked with Ricardo Amaral at the Alô Alô jazz club in Ipanema where she meet pianist Luis Carlos Vinhas. With Vinhas Ana Toured all the major cities in Brazil ending the tour in São Paulo where they performed for 2 years.
She has written and performed her own songs and has made new arrangements of Brazilian and American standards songs familiar to many ears. She has been well received inl European cities, in her native Brazil in New York and Los Angeles where she’s currently based.
In 1994, she founded a business partnership with brazilian singer Sonia Santos and together they invented the Brasil Brazil Show.
