Painted Sky is and was an emotional journey. I was adjusting to being single once again. This was the first album of nine that was me.......exposing all of my heart...and feeling......other than the keyboard. I for once was playing naked.
This album was recorded....mixed.....mastered...in roughly twenty hours. All songs.....one take. Even today to listen to this brings tears....for me.
The first five songs were recorded in the first evening. These were about seeing and accepting where I was at that point in time.
The next four songs were created around a relationship that was in the nourishing and exploring phase.
The last two songs......especially "Morning Star"...these were a surprise. When the number nine song was finished.........I realy thought that was the end...was wrong.
After many journeys through the desert....the end was the begining.
Thank you for all that have come this far....for this music is for the listener and those that have a real passion for life and what it has to offer. If you are not afraid to reach and embrace the morning star....it it within the painted sky..........so dream.
