We are Home Again. It’s a statement about who we are as people. Home Again is the result of a goal envisioned by David Gipson and Dave Edwards over four years ago as sophomores in high school. “We’re trying to make music that people can relate to. The theme of our songs is about the search for the definition of a ‘Home’ for young adults. Is it the place you grew up? Maybe for some people, but I think most people would say it’s much larger than that. So we’re trying to tell stories about growing up, moving out and beginning your life,” says guitar player Dave Edwards.

It is apparent that for the members of Home Again, David Gipson (Lead Singer and Guitar), Dave Edwards (Lead Guitar and Vocals), Austin Burfield (Bass), and Rick Thomas (Drums), this concept is becoming exceedingly relevant to them. All college students, the members met at The Ohio State University and quickly started playing shows around Columbus. “This city has been so great to us, coming from a place like Cleveland, it is a completely different atmosphere here. You can meet people from all walks of life. It really is a great place to play music.”

And play music they have; Home Again has performed all over Ohio with many different bands. They just recorded The Chutes and Ladders EP, a six-song journey into some very real and personal narratives, including the song October Revolution. “It’s about a good friend from high school who committed suicide,” says David Gipson. “I wrote the lyrics to the song at one of the lowest points in my life, however the song is about me trying to turn my life around.” With a sound comparable to Jimmy Eat World, Third Eye Blind, The Early November, and The Starting Line, the band has high hopes for the future. “Where we go from here is the big question,” says Dave Edwards. We’re right at the point where bands are made or broken. We plan on doing this for the rest of our lives, so this is only the beginning, I think.”

People who are interested in Jimmy Eat World The Starting Line The Early November should consider this download.
