Born and raised in Germany, Ali Küçükay went to Turkey in the end of the eighties. In the experience of an intermittent metropole in its endless cultural variety, he discovers his love to music and decides to start playing the accoustic guitar. After some formative years in Turkey he moves with his brother back to Germany to make music his living.
Through positive experience on his instrument, he begins to write his own songs. Funk, Soul, Electro and Jazzmusic, which he get‘s to know by dint of his friends CD-collection, make him treasure the groovy elements of music.
More and more often he appears as a solo artist and finds his kindred spirits Markus Vieweg, Benny Geyer, Flo Stein and Jannis Knuepfer.
A recording of his Songs reaches the jury of the "Roxy muezik Yarismasi"-contest at Istanbul. He achieves the final of this eminently respected alternative-contest, where he can present some of his songs in front of a huge crowd.
Motivated by the positive feedback of the fans he flies back to Germany and gets started with the studioproduktion of his first LP. The CD “Senaryo“ consists of 10 beatiful songs, recorded during the last summerdays of 2007.
Spring 2008: The work fructifies!
The Band is invited to play a concert in Istanbul which is sponsored by MTV and Billboard. This gig is followed by first proceedings with Turkish labels and hosts. Even an interview is done with one of the biggest magazines of Turkey (‘Leman‘), which leads to the conclusion of a definitely successful tour.
But also in Germany the booking gets started and the band will soon stand on the german stages. Right where they belong.
