The band released The Crooked Mile Sessions: Vol. 1 in October of last year and is preparing for the release of Volume 2. The Crooked Mile Sessions is a story about the quest for salvation through song when it cannot be found anywhere else.
The Guitar Outlaws formed in the summer of 1999 with Russell Turner (vocals, guitar, piano), Dustin Bevell (vocals, bass), and Brandon Stover (drums). Since the recording of The Crooked Mile Sessions they have expanded to a six piece band with Jared Rodriguez (guitar), Dorothy Simpson (organ, piano) and Christopher Casner (acoustic guitar).
