Howdy,
We are Mona and Lisa, two 13 year old twins. Our passion is to play and write music that really touches people''s hearts and souls. We don’t like most of the stuff that plays in the charts. We prefer music of artists who have something more to say than “Look, how much money I made with my last record”.
Our influences:
Very likely we are influenced by our Dad who had operated a recording studio. There we had met good music and dedicated musicians since we were kids. We always used to dance and sing while other kids were stuck in their computer games or TVs :). So we had a beautiful childhood where we developed our passion for real, handmade music.
Our instruments:
By the age of 10 we learned to play guitar and drums and also tried various other instruments. We regularly performed at school concerts and other events. Soon we started to sing in two voices which was not so easy in the beginning. But we practiced: There was literally no car drive without us singing and drumming on the back seats … Well, actually it’s the same today.
Our band:
The next step was to form a band together with our parents. Our Dad was playing keyboard and extra learned to play guitar and bass. He is our band-leader as he has a huge musical experience and engineering know-how from his active studio times. Our step mommy learned to play saxophone and percussion and now, we are a band. Of course, we want to have a band with same-aged boys and girls later. But first we need to learn grooving with other musicians in various music styles and get some recording and engineering know-how. By playing with our parents we have already learned so much. Continuing this way will later keep us independent from major labels. That will ensure us making the music we want to play and prevent us from being puppets of the music industry.
Our activities:
2007 was our biggest year so far. Our parents thought it would be a good idea to spend our holidays in Los Angeles. We assure you, this WAS the best idea they''ve ever had. Besides having a great time in Disneyland, Sea World and other amusement parks, we met many new friends, got great guitar lessons and also PLAYED there. Yes, we performed live in some restaurants in LOS ANGELES!!! It really was a lot of fun, and we got much acknowledgement! We even received our first self-earned 10 Dollars there!
Back home we practiced like mad for our first big concert as a band. We built up a professional stage with an extra drum podium for Mona. In a 2 hours musical journey from 1963 till 2007 we performed 24 songs. It was such a huge success that we had to repeat it a week later, as so many people wanted to see us (about 160 in total). We also did a live-recording of the concert that became our first CD which is now fresh from the press.

Our music and future aims:
Till today we''ve been covering the greater part of our songs, but right now we are learning how to write great songs ourselves. With “Alone”, track no. 23, we started our songwriting “career” and besides school and practicing our instruments/singing, song-writing is our main interest at the moment. This summer 2008 we''re going to come back to L.A. to see what’s going on there and to meet our new friends.
