When I have just started playing guitar, my only aim was to master the instrument. I have listened to different music and in the course of time the amount and variety of it has expanded and grown. There was one little thing that I didn''t like about my favorite bands: not all of their compositions were completely to my liking. The matter of taste certainly. However I''ve decided to record my own things which would give me sincere and genuine pleasure.
That''s why after quitting one of the local bands I got busy with the project, started searching for my personal style. This process has, indeed, taken a lot of time - approximately 4 years. I ve tried to find an optimal combination of melodic patterns of power, progressive metal, fusion, hard rock, classic music etc. which would be easy for perception and understanding.
The basis of the music has always primarily been the guitar. I ve recorded 3 pilot demo-albums "Ruined Realm. Dreams Of Future", "Eyewitness for the greatest war" and "Experimenter". Two compositions "To the edge of universe" and "Autumn drops" from the last album were included in the "Comprehension of self" album. During these four years I ve also had experience of live performance, I have gathered a band called "Twilight" where we played songs in Russian, however the band broke up after a year and I ve continued doing the Realm-X project. Some things were already recorded and I''ve asked for assistance of my school friend Danil Volodkin who was at the moment very fond of guitar playing and professional audio mixing. Our cooperation has resulted in 3 compositions ("I see the sign", "Reach of the stars" and "In the grip of fire") included in the "Comprehension of self" album. Unfortunately music composing in the university years was time-limited since I had to study and work as well.
Nevertheless in the beginning of the 5th year of study I was invited to a Ekaterinburg band "The Silent Sky". We played power metal and hardrock at the time, performed own music and tributes to such bands as Halloween, Europe, Kamelot and so forth. However my project wasn''t forsaken - in the spring-summer of 2007 I ve finished the last thing "Bright Sky" and a month later met an artist Mikhail Svalov who got down to the design and illustration of the album. By the winter of 2007/2008 a small run of 50 copies was made. I''m looking forward for further ideas...
