One might call our music coconut country, trop-rock, or mariachi fusion. Whatever the classification, it was a blast to do since we had our amigos, The Twins, backing us on multiple cuts. We were also blessed by the talents of several talented song writers who collaborated with us. Hats off to Jim Berault, Barbara Brennan, Barbara Leamon and Marilyn Freeze.
We tried to do a theme album in response to the great life we have living in Mexico, producing and recording Spanish language acts and soaking up the sea and sand. However, a few non-theme tunes were too good to leave off like NEVER ALONE, FLAT BROKE, and WHILE THE BAND CONTINUES TO PLAY.
Whether part of the theme, or not, every one of these tunes was an absolute blast to produce and play. From the grooving WHERE''S MY TEQUILA? to the final cut, DOWN OLD MEXICO WAY, we had a great time doing the album and hope people enjoy listening.
