Doug Simmons and Glen Mitchell recorded this album in the winter of 2007-08. We recorded this CD in Santa Cruz, CA and Cumberland, RI. With the exception of Sleep and Strawberry Fields, Doug wrote and performed the music and Glen played drums on all tracks. We’re lifelong friends, now a couple of middle-aged guys who (still) like to express themselves through music – even though we live on opposite ends of the country. Our wives, Anne and Karen, deserve our sincerest gratitude for letting us remain kids – at heart…
Sleep was written by Donovan in 1972, from the now out-of-print LP titled “Cosmic Wheels”. Strawberry Fields was written by John Lennon and recorded by the Beatles in 1967 (but you knew that).
