MP3 Stichboy - The Lonely Road

Radiohead meets Stone Temple Pilots.

5 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Adult Alternative Pop/Rock, ROCK: Experimental Rock

Details:
The Lonely Road is a follow-up EP to last years full length "All 12 songs". What was supposed to turn out as a single and b-side for the song "The Gypsy" actually wind up turning into a short 5 song album based on a short story written by Stichboys singer song writter Chris Reyes. As the songs came together in the matter of a few months of recording we now can see that the writting style has taken on a more mature song writting capability. Many of the songs lean more towards the experimental side that was only briefly hinted at in the last full length album.

According to singer song writter Chris Reyes-

" I had 26 years to write the first album. Many songs had been lying around for ages untouched in some demo form of some sort. I had many songs that didnt even make the cut and some songs out there that I didnt feel really represented who I was anymore. I wanted 12 songs that all rocked from start to https://www.tradebit.comce the name "All 12 songs" but this album is different. Its very eerie and takes me to a different place. I knew the second I heard "The Gypsy" play back that I would have to release a mini EP album. I wanted to put together 5 quick songs that would act like a trailer for a motion picture that hasnt been written yet."

Indeed for a short album it definaltey feels like it flows from start to finish with the last song "The Sorry(She said)co-written with fellow musican Justin C Meeks ending the album just right with guitars fading out and as piano and orchestra slowly come to a hault. It definatley leaves you hungry for more...but only time will tell. According to Chris Reyes we wont have to wait for long.

"I am working on finishing some more songs to put a full length later this year or early next but for right now I am also busy trying to put together 5 concept videos to put out there to compliment the music on this album. Cant tell you which of these songs will be on the full length...maybe all of them...maybe none of them but stay tuned! The best is yet to come"

Here are some reviews for the first single"The Gypsy" released last month.

It is a relief to be able to hear what the
singer is saying!! Thank you! This song(The Gypsy) has been an oasis in the middle of me trying to add up 15 pairs of reviews and give everyone full attention. I really liked this song alot. It''s just a down right awesome tune!! Sorry to repeat myself, but thank you so much!! I lost track of trying to analyze this song early on as I just got caught up into it. I would buy a cd with this song on it in a heart beat! As far as analyzing the song, what I just said should''ve spoken volumes to a Record Company Exec..

Skulduggery
I love the vocals that ride through this track. They are as catchy as an infection and as infectious as a summer day. They flow perfectly over great guitars in the background. Love the rising note at the end of each guitar lick. The vocals are sung perfectly with great use of harmonies adding a good couple of extra sugars to this already sweet brew. The way the percussion builds to the bridge is pleasing in the obscene. I was wanting it to happen and then it did. Heads where nodding. Oh yes heads where nodding. Over all a fantastic piece, well written, performed, recorded and mixed. Im off to read minds, steal forks and get down with some roadside skulduggery.
