With Brick And Mortar is the second album from the Minneapolis band Texatonka. The effort marks a rock journey starting where their debut left off that takes the listener through a tour de force of pop jems followed by a second half of ambitious album rock.
Texatonka has created a quilt from patchwork; WBAM was recorded at many locations, on many dates, with many musicians. They worked with Ed Ackerson, [Polara] at his Flowers Studio, who helped push the band sonically and gave the project a semblance of a whole. Peter Anderson [Honeydogs, Iffy, Polara] added percussion to the recordings as well as drums on Save The River, and Scott Glaser [Hard Left] contributed bass to the project.
With this release, indy’s best kept secret has raised their voice to be heard.
