This album is all about peacefulness. I can''t count the times I have been told how useful it is for all kinds of restful times. This is a very simple production of my harp, and George''s bamboo flutes, some of his other special flutes like recorders and pan pipes.. It is all long songs of slow tempo soft music. Its a favorite of health practitioners, massage therapists, and tired moms and teachers who need the young ones to mellow out. People like to de-stress, or contemplate or fall asleep to it. Many a babies have been conceived to it as well I''m told. George and I travel and tour together year round, and we sell the most of this album, because its exactly how we sound, just the two of us when we play at our various events. George and I started playing together in 1997. I was playing an art fair, and he was selling his flutes in a booth at the same fair. We exchanged our albums, and went home, him to Florida, me to California.. When we heard each others albums we we couldn''t believe both sounded like each other. I thought we were kindred spirits. I was so bold to write him a letter, and say we should play together. Next thing I knew I was back in Florida, and from the first time we played any notes together, it was like we had already played together forever. After now almost five years of doing music, it sounded as good the first day, as it does now. I remember his mom was listening from the other room that first day, and she was really happy. I am so lucky to have merged up with George, he is the most awesome flute maker/player person in the world. He plays lots of instruments, but his flutes are matched by no other. This record is all our original collaborations, its very pure, and captures the very innocent sound of the worlds most ancient instruments. It runs 73 minutes.. Because we just couldn''t stop playing.
