Although Arizona''s Half String didn''t release their first proper album until 1996, their droning brand of multi-guitar rock is very much grounded in the alternative sounds of the late ''80s and early ''90s. Like a less bombastic, gentler take on the My Bloody Valentine sound, they also favor languid, slurry vocals and hazy harmonies, other staples of post-punk underground music.
