Lee Sinclair is an accomplished singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that has slowly but surely established himself as one of the most consistent and exciting talents in the southern region. His steady artistic growth is apparent in the music community after 25 years of experience playing in both live gigs and studio performances.
Lee’s passion for music started as a young boy in his hometown of Jonesville, S.C. where he began performing in area bands at the age of 14 and would have to sneak in and out of clubs to play the sets because of his age. Lee went on to study music and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Limestone College.
Lee has become an in-demand session and live player for other artists in the last few years and his extraordinary talents have lead him to be part of the opening acts for .38 Special, Blackfoot, and The Little River Band to name a few. He has appeared on many recordings in the Upstate of South Carolina including two albums by The Marshall Tucker Band.
As his musical talents unfolded through the years, a passion came to surface for writing songs and singing. His lyrics are a journey through his life, trials, tribulations and successes. Sinclair has a gift that delivers a dynamic performance. He spreads his passion in an energetic and soul driven live performance that the audience can’t help but feel.
Lee’s new CD “Bleedin’ Black and White” has just been released by his company Ruff Patch Music, LLC. It was written, recorded, sung and produced by Lee himself. His goal with the 2008 release is to have an emotional impact that moves his listeners as his life has moved him. His dynamic vocal style gives his CD a unique sound, his personal challenges gives it soul.
