Sonikraft is currently a one man* home recording project done by a lower income manufacturing laborer in the Midwest. This is a sonic autobiography inspired by the last five years of my life. I''m giving it to you now as is, flawed, but bleeding raw emotion out of the wounds that life has inflicted on me as it has so many others before me, callously and without quarter. This body of work is lyrically incomplete, but I would rather not insult my work with shoddy or poorly recorded vocal tracks, especially not if the music can stand alone without them. There a certain purity about the instrumental, and oftentimes this purity is compromised when vocals are added unless it is done with great sensitivity. I may never add lyrics to some of these songs, and if I wait until they''re done, this album might never see the light of day. I’d like to invite any listener who is interested to mix some of their own lyrics in. I''d love to hear it. I do a lot of experimenting, so there''s some stylistic inconsistency. I omitted several good pieces because they didn''t fit in. My next effort will be much more pointed. I have an affinity for the cinematic opus; (I hope it shows,) and it seems to me that a lot of these song would be appropriate for use in film.
