MP3 Hedon - Ellipsis
Described as many things from Hard Rock to Emo, but the band simply describes their music as "plain old rock." A mix of powerful drum rhythms and searing guitar riffs, pulled together by serene, melodic vocals and emotionally passionate ranting.

Hedon was born in the fall of 2000 in Sterling, CO with members Scott Marin (Drums), Drew Smith (Bass & Vocals), Justin Tennant (Lead Guitar), and Tyler Welch (Lead Vocals & Guitar) beginning as many bands do: In the garage. After several name changes, these four musicians united their creative forces to conceive their own unique and powerful sound. Hedon has come a long way since the garage band days and have now relocated to Fort Collins, CO where their journey continues.
Hedon is a mix of powerful drum rhythms and searing guitar riffs, pulled together by serene, melodic vocals and emotionally passionate ranting. Hedon is a mix of all of their influences; yet, they cannot be easily compared to one band. Hedon thrives on the ability to morph their music. Whether its dramatic dynamic differences or extreme tempo changes, Hedon attempts to make every song unique from the next in order to avoid complacency in their art.
Hedon''s resume includes many venues around the Denver Metro area and Northern Colorado. These venues include The Starlight, The Iliff Park Saloon, The House of Rock, The Sportsfield Roxx, The Crowbar, Stella Bluz, Logan County Events Center and the Bottom''s Up Tavern where Hedon has played with such Colorado acts as Aggressive Persuasion, Brutal Infliction, Tip the Milkman, Feature 981, Shotgunn, Insignificant, and Comastile to name a few. Hedon has also played with national acts such as Great White..
Hedon has recorded two full length independent CDs entitled "Ellipsis" and "Juxtaposition." Hedon''s first album, "Juxtaposition," was a mix of 10 quality songs that were created during a time when Hedon was working to find their sound. On Hedon''s latest album, "Ellipsis," they have done just that. "Ellipsis" is full of powerful guitars, precise harmonies, and a growth in song writing that is evident on songs like "Psychosis" and "Trophy Wounds." Both of Hedon''s albums were recorded at Colorado''s top studio, Rudy''s Studio in Northglenn, CO.
Some comments that have been made about Hedon''s music include Independent A&R company, Taxi, which remarked that Hedon''s songs have "a bit of a Tool feel" and "have a good sense of melody and song arrangement." Local Colorado newspaper, The Journal Advocate, who consequently voted Hedon the best Local Rock Band of 2002 and 2003 wrote, "With rock bands doing little more than mimicking one another these day, Hedon brings an original, heartfelt addition to the clutter and the noise."
Since the beginning the four members of Hedon have struggled and succeeded, but never have they given in. With the accomplishments mounting, the band wonders what the next step may be
