HEAVENandHELL was conceived in January ''03 by Mia Kileen - vocals, and Gregg Jones - guitar, for the sole purpose of self expression. They wanted to write music they would enjoy listening to as much as creating, and that became the basis for HEAVENandHELL''s sound. Mia has proven to be a marvelous front woman. Her growth, both as a performer and a musician over the past 3 years, has propelled the new HEAVENandHELL material into a realm previously unobtained. Her deeply personal lyrics and sultry, rock vocals create an immediately identifiable sound in today''s "Cheaper by the Dozen" musical landscape. Gregg''s role in HEAVENandHELL is to provide maximum riffage, harmony, and color! Gregg''s goal is to provide a unique aural experience that is immediately identifiable from but a few notes. John Mills (bassist)spans the creative bridge between the drums and the melodies. In June 2004, HEAVENandHELL released their debut CD, HnH2004. This CD is packed full of the emotion and personality that HnH''s members had been harboring since they first came together. Recorded by Scott Rainey over a 4 month period at Indy studio The Hit Department, this CD garnered rave reviews for content and production quality! With songs such as Suffocating, Believe, Hope?, and Without You, this CD firmly established HEAVENandHELL as a real player in the Indy Scene! In fact, independent movie company GemInI Films included HEAVENandHELL song "One Day" on the soundtrack to its 2004 release "Reunion" and Ohio''s Shards of Glass Productions late 2005 release of "3:33 AM" will include HEAVENandHELL song "Hate." Following the release of HnH2004, HEAVENandHELL embarked on a quest to become a household name. Playing show after show, honing their live skills and spreading the word of HEAVENandHELL, the band kept themselves busy throughout the summer of 2004. But come fall, the band was ready to begin recording what became the 3-song EP2005. Including songs "Throwing Stones", "In the Key of B", and "Liar In the Shadow of a Cheat" (co-written and recorded with Dystalis front man Sahar Montalvo), the new EP illustrates the growth HEAVENandHELL had undergone in the 6 months since HnH2004. To add a little something extra to their recording effort this time, HEAVENandHELL shot a video for the song "Throwing Stones" and are distributing it free at all of their shows! In spring 2005, HEAVENandHELL emerged from their rehearsal space with their full-length CD, a new EP, and a fresh directive to create a powerful, energetic live show! Armed with this new outlook and half the next album''s worth of songs, HEAVENandHELL have been travelling beyond Indy to places like Dayton, Louisville, Terre Haute, Evansville, Greenville, Frankfort, and Crawfordsville introducing themselves to the masses! Their reception has been nothing short of stellar at every performance!
