Details:
Making music is something Cody Beebe was born to do. Having been greatly influenced by his uncle, Robert Shaun Beebe, a country musician, Cody began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of five. Since then, Cody has fine-tuned an acoustic sound so fresh, so undeniably unique, it is clear that he is destined to do great things with his budding music career.

Cody’s sound is natural, as though it flows from his body with no effort at all. Most of his songs deal with universal human experiences, allowing him to relate to an eclectic audience. His music is versatile, as he incorporates a diverse sound influenced by classic country, folk, blues and even jazz. His songs range from aggressive to melodic and even romantic on occasion. One thing is certain, Cody’s style and distinctive voice are one of a kind, making it difficult to compare him to anyone in particular.

Hailing from Selah, a small town in Washington, Cody writes songs that spring from a hometown mentality – creating stories of the strong bonds that form between individuals in this environment. Cody recently moved from Pullman, WA where he attended Washington State University. After graduating, he relocated to Seattle where he will focus on his solo career, hoping to form a fan base centered on his Americana sound.

Having been fortunate enough to have had an already budding musical career, Cody has recorded several CD’s both with former bands and by himself. The first was a self-titled album that he released at 18. He released a full-length CD with his band Second Story Regret entitled “What Rose From Whispers.” In November of 2006, Cody released his CD, entitled “Verbs” whose tracks were used on the FOX television show “Jackson Horn.” In July of 2008, Cody released his new album, “Much of Anything EP.” The record was produced by Chris Bigley at Vicarious Rex Studios in Walla Walla, WA who had also recorded "Verbs."

As far as live performances go, Cody is no stranger to the stage as he has opened for acts such as Rooney, Ari Hest, This Providence, Carey Judd, Afroman, Drew Davis Band and a number of others. He competed in the 2005 Washington State University Acoustic Battle of the Bands where he placed first. He also received honorable mention in the 2004 VH1 Save the Music Foundation songwriting contest.

Of his music Cody says, “I have an ability to incorporate multiple genres of music cohesively in one package. I get the greatest enjoyment in making each song very different from all the others and even trying to incorporate a few different styles into one song, while at the same time keeping true to the backbone that my music has been built on.” Cody''s new EP is a telling example of these talents.
