In Radford, Virginia, where the mountains are blue and the vultures red, 4/5 of Kapluckus were raised. As they grew stronger and taller throughout their childhood and adolescence, they participated in an array of musical escapades together, from indie garage bands to high school drumlines.
At Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, they met a young, angelic singer from Wilmington (NC). Drawn together as sailors to the shmirens'' call (the shmirens were sisters of the sirens who used their power for good rather than evil), they have since remained one Kapluckus, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
