Henry Doss began writing and performing original music in 1998. Prior to setting out on his music adventure Henry was a banker, most recently in Pittsburgh, and prior to that in Charlotte, NC. He and his wife, Chris, settled into Northern Michigan shortly after Henry''s retirement from banking in 2002.
Henry was born in Johnson City, TN, moved to Marion, VA and then to Charlotte, NC, where he spent most of his adult life. He has two children who are college students in North Carolina.
Henry is dedicated to the craft of songwriting. His songs work with melody and lyrics to tell a story, while covering a broad range of styles, from straight-ahead rock, to gentle, acoustic ballads. The "Henry Doss" story is one that is just beginning. It is not the "typical" story of a singer-songwriter. And perhaps it will be all the more interesting for that very reason.
With the addition of the recent Anti-War track Mars to his collection of material, Henry is currently writing material for a new single. 2004 looks set to be an interesting year.
