Details:
Hi folks! My name is Adam Kositsky and I am a singer-songwriter/writer based in Toronto, Canada.

I was born in England, though I spent the majority of my childhood in the large Toronto suburb of North York. When I was thirteen years old, I began high school at the Claude Watson School of the Arts, where I majored in theatre and also took classes in dance, playwriting, and violin, on top of the regular Canadian curriculum of english, history, geography, math and science.

In my early adult years, I worked as an actor, appearing on stage, television and in film (credits include “Lena: My One Hundred Children”—an N.B.C. T.V. movie of the week and “Sing”—a major motion picture produced by the same gang who gave us “Footloose” and, more recently, “Hairspray”.

After a time, I went to University and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in psychology and pursued a Master’s in epidemiology. Feeling a pull to return to the arts, I then began to study guitar and song-writing formally, and have continued down that road for the last 5 years. For 2 of those years, I had the privilege of working as a licensed subway musician for the Toronto Transit Commission.

In Toronto every year, nearly one hundred and seventy-five talented musicians audition for the prestigious spots, but only seventy-five are granted licenses. I was lucky to be chosen and was able to use the experience to get a feel for which of my songs worked best. It was a fabulous opportunity! "Little Car" is my first full-length CD and explores the roles of hope and spirituality in human relationships.

I was very blessed to have 3 of the most respected musicians in Toronto play on the album: keyboardist Denis Keldie, cellist Kevin Fox, and 2nd guitar player D''Arcy Wickham. I contributed fingerstyle, rhythm, and slide guitars; vocals; and harmonies. Award-winning producer Danny Greenspoon mixed the tunes.

I hope you enjoy the songs! All the best...
