With a musical career spanning her lifetime, Pat Jones is a talented singer, song writer, performer, choir director, play writer and actress. Starting with gospel praises in childhood, Pat continues to receive acclaim and win praises for her vocal talents and contribution to gospel music.

Pat began singing at age eight in the church in Baltimore Maryland with her family and has been a leader of numerous high schools and church choirs all across the Baltimore area. In the early 70’s she moved to Las Vegas Nevada and directed the Children’s Choir at Pentecostal Temple COGIC. While there she recorded an album with Morris Chapman, one with Curtis Bain and the Jesus Jubilee Singers and one with Tony Wright. She was a featured artist on each of these projects. On three occasions she performed with the Jerry Lewis Singers during the Telethon held every year during the September Labor Day Weekend. Having moved back home to the Baltimore area, Pat has continued too perform and record. Some of the major artist she has shared the stage with were, Andrea Crouch, The Clark Sisters, Donald Lawrence, Hezaziah Walker and in August of 1995, she sang as a background singer for Diana Ross. However, gospel music is her true style. She has recorded with Charles McCloud, the McFarland Singers, Fernando Allen, Martha Byrd-Baker and Andre Nance & Greater Praise. With Del Geo Records, Pat has recorded a three song pre-release cassette, a Midi CD and a ten song CD. She co-produced a 16 song CD entitled ‘The Pat Jones Project with Family and Friends, release June 14, 2008.

Pat also loves acting and has played a main supporting character in the play, “A Journey for Salvation” at the Morris Mechanic Theatre of Baltimore, also directing as the Music Director for that play. She also performed in “An Honorable Death”, which has to this date and continue to be aired on cable television in Baltimore City. In addition, she sings the theme song “The Tree” for this production.

While working and living in the Baltimore area, Pat continues to perform at a variety of festivals and concerts throughout the area such as the Afram Festival in Baltimore (Main Stage), an Open Festival in Annapolis Maryland (Main Stage), the Arena Payers Theater (to a sold out audience), WIN Women of the NAACP, the Annual Gala for the radio station ‘Heaven 600 WBGR and as a guest vocalist for many churches and conventions throughout the country.

During the year 2004 her role with the Greater Maryland 1st Jurisdiction COGIC, who hosted the International ‘Aim In Ministry’ (AIM) of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) was the State Music Department Coordinator. This responsibility enabled her to work with State Jurisdiction Departments from as far as Upper New York to as far as North Carolina. As a result of her performance, she has been appointed by the National COGIC President of the Music Dept., Professor Iris Stevenson, as the Regional Coordinator for the East Coast Region.

Pat submitted song, ‘More Like Jesus’ in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition and it was advanced to the next round of judging.

Recently Pat sang and was the section leader with the winning choir of the “AARP Stand Up For Yourself Gospel Choir Competition” under the direction of Gospel Artist – Ricky Dillard aboard the Radio One Love Gospel Cruise March 2008. I will be performing with the Levite Choir in the AARP 50th Anniversary songs of Soul and Inspiration concert June 21, 2008 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta Georgia. She shared the stage with Yolanda Adams, Shirley Ceasar, CeCe Winnans, Pattie Austin, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan, Queen Latifah, Anne Nesby, Perris Bennett, Jamia and the choreagrapher/and produer was Debbie Allen.

Pat has dealt with musical arts such as dance, drama, vocal and visual drama and play writing.
