Dawn Chorus began in 2001 when recent Greensboro, NC transplant Amy Kingsley walked into Gate City Noise Records, the local indie shop owned by Andrew Dudek. In time, Amy would end up joining Dudek and his neighbor, Will Ridenour, a multiinstrumentalist with ethnomusical tendencies, in many late night sessions at Dudek’s old house. Roughly a year later Zachary Mull joined and completed their current line-up.
Ten songs that crackle and sparkle with elements of pop, southern jangle, rock and subtle hints of shoegaze. Recorded by Brian Paulson (Beck, Wilco, Superchunk).
Florida St. Serenade is Dawn Chorus'' third record.
