DeVell has been singing for most of her life in church, at weddings and special occasions. Her newly released CD titled "The Reality Project" is a project that streams from her personal testimonies as a Christian. Each song has its own unique message and meaning with which others can identify.
DeVell is a devoted, sanctified Christian that believes and practices the unfathomable Word of God. She has been married for over 12 years to her sweetheart, James “Deacon8” Ford, and they have been blessed with the honor and privilege to raise four anointed young men that she loves dearly; Chris, James, Yitro, and Micah.
DeVell is an active leader in the Church of the Apostolic Revival International under the anointed leadership of Apostle John A. and First Lady Alice Bennett. She owes special gratitude to her mother, friend, and mentor, Minister Lannie Willie. She has embraced and nurtured her throughout life''s choices.
DeVell is a three time winner at the world''s famous Apollo Theater’s “Amateur Night at the Apollo”. She has ministered through song at the annual “Unity in the Community Day” sponsored by The Light 103.9 Radio Station. DeVell has blessed many people via the television airways.
She sang glorious songs of Zion on ‘Spiritual Awakening” via the WRAL televised program. Also, she performed a live recording television taping for the distinguished Dr. Bobby Jones at his “1st annual Bobby Jones Gospel in New Orleans”. DeVell looks forward to the upcoming events that will bring her face to face with you, her supporters and fellow believers.
Her passion to write has exceeded the boundaries of what she thought her heart could ever pour out. She is presently working on her next CD titled "Behind The Veil". DeVell believes that a shared testimony can and will deliver anyone who''s willing to admit truth, and that is what she has done.
