Lyric coloratura soprano Rebecca Hains has taken delight in singing Gilbert & Sullivan since she was a teenager. Rebecca has appeared in many community theater productions in Boston and Philadelphia and sings with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, the official chorus of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
She has played most of the G&S soprano roles and has appeared at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Buxton, England, as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Princess Zara in Utopia, Limited, and Phyllis in Iolanthe. In addition, Rebecca has sung roles such as Cunegonde in Candide and Rapunzel in Into the Woods and has performed along the east coast, from Maine to Maryland.
A professor of communications by day, Rebecca and her husband,
Tyler, reside in Massachusetts.
