Like many others, Nikhil Dhingra earned his stripes on the live music scene, proving his talent on his first release, Beauty in Imperfection. While there are many singer/songwriters, few engage the world with eloquent and relevant music, and like the latter, Nikhil sets himself apart as he truly embodies universally appealing music.
Nikhil picked up his first guitar at age 8, after watching many old Elvis movies, only to have the leftover shards taken away after smashing it just as Elvis did. Forced to take voice lessons by his mother at age fifteen, Nikhil has evolved into a mature and versatile musician on the vox, electric, and acoustic guitar.
Influenced by artists such as Jeff Buckley, Queen, Radiohead, and Jason Mraz, Nikhil blends the memorable qualities of these artists while still maintaining his own unique sound that connects with fans from multiple walks of life.
His independently released debut album, Beauty in Imperfection, with the hit single, Be Like That, has growing popularity with increasing radio rotation. Nikhil performs regularly at bi-coastal venues in support of the album. With his first release on the way, Nikhil is already working on his sophomore album, Until Tomorrow.
