Details:
Dear Readers of the Internet,
All is well here but alas, let me tell you a story anyhow...

Ian (bass) and Alex (drums) were born. Years later, they met in Brisbane City. Later still they formed a band called No Anchor. Named after Ian''s great grandfather No David Anchor, the band''s primary purpose was revenge, to hurt feelings and whiten noise. Things happened.

In the autumn of the year 2008, the noise-rock duo entered the studio with Cameron Smith and over the course of multiple (two) weekends, recorded their debut album ''Fire Flood And Acid Mud'' (named after something Ian heard on the radio, something amusing I presume). Weeks later, the album was mastered by Lawrence English of Room 40 infamy. Ian and Alex could tell you some stories about everyone involved, their dark pasts, their hidden pleasures, their magic gifts but it would not be polite. Instead they''re keeping their mouths shut as I''ve advised them.

In addition to recording, No Anchor plays live. Or as the band members themselves like to call it, they ''ride the lightning on student concession''. Since their inception they''ve played with heaps of famous bands - but mostly whilst in the bands they were in before No Anchor. Since forming No Anchor they''ve played with almost no one; they are loners. But still concessions were made (by others), these include The Grey Daturas and Nunchukka Superfly. One day, if the stars align, science will allow them to play with human clones of themselves - at which point No Anchor will sound like Big Business era Melvins but looser and more symmetrical.

And that dear friend is all I have to time to write. Fear not. I know the band quite well, they have hopes and desires that remain unquashed, undampened. And they are an honest band, and thus, will always, ALWAYS, be in trouble. Entertaining trouble. You can''t save them but I sincerely hope you buy their record.

PS: I am coming for you too.
