Icares formed in the early Spring of 2002 in Omaha, NE. Like a large majority of NE bands, members were collaborated through musical adds on the popular web site Slam Omaha. The members consist of Tim Blair (Drums), Mike Torczon (Bass) & Ryan Osbahr (Guitar and Vocals). The 3 piece Power Pop trio has made it''s mark on the Omaha music scene at a rapid pace.
Icares has graced the stage of venues such as The Ranch Bowl in Omaha,NE to Knickerbockers in Lincoln, NE on several weekend nights, but layed their roots @ the now closed Howard Street Pub in the Old Market of Downtown Omaha.
Playing often with acts as Grasshopper Takeover, Mandown, Liquid Static, Carolyn''s Mother (Denver,CO), Blacklight Sunshine (Lincoln,NE), Anchondo, LoveTap, Slide Rule, Famous FM (Kansas City) and The Starch Martins (Chicago, IL). Icares has been creating a large buzz surrounding the band since the Summer of 2002, and now have established themselves as one of Omaha''s hardest working bands.
Playing straight forward rock music that appeals to 21+ drinking crowds, Icares sold out of their 1st 500 copies of their demo CD in less then 3 months. Their Mailing list consists over over 300+ recepients, and the band recently played in front of 1,300 at Benson High School.
In the late Spring of 2004, Icares released their debut CD, and plan on a busy Summer of touring regionally and locally in Omaha and the surrounding cities. Check the show dates near you at https://www.tradebit.com.
