Has life got you down? Trying to grab on to something or anything at all to keep you from losing your mind? Ghosts of things you want, things you need or the untouchable? Your answer to fill the void: IF NOTHING!
Forming in late 2001, Drew Lane (guitar), Jeff Brush (bass), Chris Bolwes (guitar) and Peter Wilura started jamming together and met Eric Girard in June 2002. Something created If Nothing whether it was destiny or pure coincidence.
In less than a year, If Nothing has created a solid fan base in the Greater ON Area. The band has already played to packed crowds at hot live music venues and have done this playing to packed crowds all over Ontario and parts of the United States. A full on assault is currently underway and If Nothing are revitalizing the hard rock that provides substance and meaning in people''s lives that "they" don''t want you listening to.
If Nothing is currently touring and promoting their debut self titled release. Peter Wilura, drummer of If Nothing..., says that they "wanted to invest (their) money into a well produced CD that would not only make fans of the band happy, but also show the music industry
that we have the courage to move forward without any sort of major label backing. We''re here for our fans, ourselves and the music we love to play. Alternatively, if this CD can take us to the next level, then we''re ready for it."
If Nothing''s debut CD features 9 of the bands hard rocking original tunes that range from roove metal to hard hitting rock that the radio can play without sounding like anything currently on the radio as well as featuring an interactive portion for fans to put into their PCs or Macs and
watch. Wilura says that "the enhanced portion will let fans get an inside look at our warped minds as well as letting those who have never seen us live get a glimpse of what they''re in for when they come see us play."
Now everyone can have the true musical solution without doing anything at all! AHH... sweet nothing. Watch, listen and learn. Don''t move! Don''t breath! A thoughtless, empty and unfulfilling "something" is that thing "they" give you whether you realize it or not! Yes, the malevolent "they." And what do "they" exactly give you? It''s the thing that keeps the horrible screeching static in your head going 24/7. Evil doers everywhere want something out of you.
