Aidan McIntyre is an accomplished Gong player & Singing bowl master who has over fourteen years experience in the field of Sound Therapy. Using these & other instruments he gives frequent shows & concerts worldwide & in the USA, solo & as a member of Euphonics with Karen Stackpole. He has worked with autistic children & gives individual therapy sessions using Singing bowls, Gongs & other instruments, & Gongbaths for groups & individuals. Aidan’s adventure with sound began in 1993 when he met Gongmaster Don Conreaux, his teacher & friend, & experienced the healing power of Sound, & especially the Gong, for the first time. Aidan became Don’s musical assistant & continues to travel & work with him. He has made the Singing bowl his own particular speciality - he teaches workshops here in the UK, in Poland, & in the USA. He performs each year at the Mind Body Spirit festival in London with Don, where he also sells Master quality singing bowls. He became a tutor for the College of Sound Healing in 2007 & teaches the Himalayan Singing Bowls module for the College.
Sheila Whittaker is a Gongmaster, Musician, Gong Therapist & Sound Healer with a background in classical music - she originally trained at the Royal College of Music as a violinist & teacher. She performs & gives concerts using Gongs, violin, voice, Singing bowls & other ancient unusual instruments, both solo & with other musical colleagues. Sheila teaches for the College of Sound Healing, giving Gong workshops, & was for two years chairperson for the College. She also gives Chant/mantra workshops & is leader/founder of the Jayadeva chanting ensemble. She plays is Brighton''s east/west fuson band Indigo Eye. Sheila runs a private therapy & teaching practise from her home near Brighton, UK.
Aidan & Sheila met several years ago while studying with Gongmaster Don Conreaux, & now often work together using Gongs, Singing bowls & other ancient instruments to create music & sound for healing & meditation.
