Chotto Matte is a new genre of music combining the melody of traditional Japanese Enka with American pop/R&B rhythms. The Japanese music scene has always provided music that was basically a Japanese artist’s or Japanese producer’ s creation of music, which in essence was a combination of American music with Japanese lyrics.
