4 MP3 Songs
HIP HOP/RAP: Alternative Hip Hop, URBAN/R&B: R&B Rap mix

Details:
This seven piece ensemble creatively manages to fuse Latin rhythms with a tasteful mixture of Hip-Hop sound and style. Inner City Soul dove into their musical journey purely out of love, passion, and the overwhelming desire to create music. Not confined to any genre in particular, Inner City Soul is able to blend the various styles of Latin, Funk, Rock, and Hip-Hop all together. Singing songs that reflect the times and environment in which they exist, the music of Inner City Soul speaks to people of all ages, color, and musical preference.

Inner City Soul is equipped with a three piece horn section that blows with Hip-Hop precision and a jazz legend''s technique. They are supported by a rhythm section trained to play anything from straight ahead salsa to funk-a-fied Hip-Hop beats reminiscent of afros and bellbottoms. This is all held together with an emcee/lyricist known for his mastery freestyle and stage presence like that of a conductor possessed by a break dancing b-boy.

Born from the depths of the inner city streets, Inner City Soul-then known as East LA Sabor Factory--was formed in 1998 while the musicians of ICS were still attending high school. From high school talent shows to back yard barbeques to local community benefits, Inner City Soul began to make their mark on the city and community that brought them together.

Inner City Soul released a four song, self titled and self produced EP while still attending high school. This fresh new sound had an impact from the moment the group hit the scene. The band''s live shows started to create a buzz in the local circuit and they quickly became well known for their overwhelming energy and ability to move crowds of all ages. News of their recording began to spread like wild fire and within two weeks of their underground release, the band had completely sold out of copies of their first recording, making the four-song EP an instant classic. The band''s sound soon caught the attention of local radio host Mark Torres. Amazed by ICS''s musical talents and the message in their music, Torres felt he had literally found a "gem in the rough." In December of 1999, Inner City Soul(formerly East LA Sabor) made their radio debut on KPFK''s (90.7fm) "Travel Tip''s For Aztlan" with a live in studio performance.

In the fall of 2000, Inner City Soul conjured up their creative forces and collaborated with producer and former Oingo Boingo bassist John Avila to co-produce the record "Party At Louie''s," a follow up to the previous recording. Inner City Soul(formerly East LA Sabor) launched the new recording with a sold out CD release concert properly held in East Los Angeles .

Hungry from the last release, fans came out to support and experience the new music that had been composed. The band performed to an intimate sold out audience of four hundred people in a three hundred max-capacity venue. After selling four hundred copies of the new underground release the first night it hit the streets, three years later, Inner City Soul went on to sell 4,000 copies while touring throughout California. This record further showcased the talent and abilities possessed by Inner City Soul.

Having conquered two independent releases, Inner City Soul is ready to debut their first recording as Inner City Soul titled "Makin'' Change," an EP scheduled to hit the streets of Los Angeles on April 24, 2004. Makin'' Change is said to be just a small taste of their highly anticipated upcoming self titled album; "Inner City Soul" which will be the most creative compilation of songs to come out of this incredibly talented ensemble as of yet. Inner City Soul-the album--is set to hit the streets in 2004.
