IRON PYGG Records is an acronym for Pull Your Gun Gangster, the meaning behind our label name is put your money where your mouth is. We all know the saying talk is cheap, either you will or you won''t. You have a choice to control life or live like a slave for the rest of it. You must impose your will on the people and things around you to become the master of your universe.
In 2003, Owners and Founders of IRON PYGG Records, Anthony Griszell and Eric Jenkins recognized that there was a window of opportunity to infiltrate the music industry. Still in the hood (St. Albans Queens NY), they see the need to build a name from the streets locally. They have learned that people like to see others on the come up and when you speak you must show understanding of what they are still going through. They built a studio and strengthened their producing, writing skills and concentrated on developing their own sound of hardcore/gangster rap. After accumulating a number of tracks they started recording songs and working with various artists from around their way in Jamaica Queens NY. IRON PYGG Records is currently working with FT, a solo artist that is big on the underground scene and Animal Division, this group has raw energy that truly encompasses the sound of IRON PYGG. They have completed their first project titled IRON PYGG, a compilation CD with the artists mentioned earlier along with Rafeef a hot artist out of South Jamaica Queens. This industry needs more individuals who love Hip Hop music and it''s culture. IRON PYGG Records is dedicated to giving the people what they want, music to make you dance, to make you think, and to make you feel our vision.
