J Gulli has returned with his third CD release entitled "Let''s Hook Up". As with his previous two releases, Gulli seems to be locking in on his versatile yet recognizable style of old school-new school mixture that seems to capture the imagination of fans (young and old) all over the world.
And once you hear "Put Your Mind At Ease", you will understand why Gulli is truly becoming a lyrical master when it comes to writing about love and romance.
And as a tribute to woman all over the world, Gulli came up with "It''s Your Time" which is a compliment to single women raising children on their own. "It''s not as important why it happens, as it is that they go that extra miles to care for our children. And they need to be rewarded for it" said Gulli.
Gulli''s hot single entitled "Replace A Woman" is the icing on the cake, as he makes it clear that there is no substitute for a woman. "You better believe it" Gulli states with a smile.
The title song on this cd "Let''s Hook Up " is a mixture of dance, r&b, rapp, and soul laced groove that prepares all listeners for a night out on the town.
But the track that''s creating all the buzz in Chicago right now is "Bump Step". "It''s a combination of Bumpin and Steppin" said Gulli. "When you put these two together, it''s like watchin poetry in motion. Young and old are doing the Bump Step in Chicago".
In fact, this dance is growing so fast, Gulli is now working in the studio with producers and songwriters Darren Jackson and Eddie G on a dance video where "Bump Step" will be featured on U Tube and MySpace.
Also, due to thousands of hits (on cdbaby), Gulli has done a remix off his first CD entitled "Into The Light". The "Have You Ever" track has been added with a heart felt rapp at the end that captures the hardships that he and many of his fans can relate to.
"You must give your fans what they ask for. And because of my love for writing,arranging and composing music, it was easy for me to grant their wish".
Amazingly, Gulli has already finished his fourth cd. And says "It''s gettin better each time. And I enjoy it more with each release" as he smiled.
