REVIEWER FEEDBACK ON "FEED THE TRIBE":
“With a lively, meditative voice and a slew of original, thought-provoking songs, Jennifer Comeau is out to change the world, one gratifying song at a time. You know what? I think she''s onto something.” ~ Aimsel Ponti, Portland Press Herald

“They should be so lucky as to book Jennifer Comeau for the TODAY show. I have never heard of most of the people I hear weekly at the Radio City Rockefeller Plaza concerts, and none of them, even if they have names supposedly recognizable, is as good as Comeau and her ensemble." ~ Mary Elizabeth Nordstrom, Music Critic

“I love this album. In a previous job I evaluated and sold music CDs to national record stores. I’ve listened to many hundreds of CDs; this one is so good, so inspiring. It has variety, interest, the words speak to me. It is really well done. Impressive.”
~ Don Wessels, Former CD distributor

“Jennifer Comeau has a beautiful voice - the songs are arranged and produced in a way that gives them much power, effect, and grace.” ~ Bob McKillop, https://www.tradebit.com

INNOVATIVE "GIVE-BACK" STRATEGY ON "FEED THE TRIBE"
Jennifer Comeau’s innovative “give back” strategy has 100% of the proceeds from her CD sales going to the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust (her local environmental organization) and the Central Asia Institute globally. Greg Mortenson of the Institute is featured in the NY Times bestseller, Three Cups of Tea. His work in building schools for mostly Muslim girls in Pakistan and Afghanistan is aligned with three of the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals: fighting poverty and hunger, achieving universal primary education, and promoting gender equality and empowering women.

JENNIFER COMEAU SPEAKS ABOUT "FEED THE TRIBE":
"Music can open our hearts. Research has shown that music taps into different areas of the brain beyond that of language. What is harder to explain is the astonishing way in which it can deeply and personally move us -- shift us to a new awareness -- a moment of gratitude or sadness or triumph. I have always loved music’s capacity to peel away our tough layers -- to make more visible our real thoughts and emotions."
"Just as with any heart-centered endeavor, a song comes through me when I quiet my mind’s oftentimes endless chatter and allow a deeper wisdom to emerge. I write songs to reflect what is present for me at that moment in time. As a collection, they capture the duality of life -- its beauty and its messiness; the cosmic and the comic; what both stirs and saddens us."
"In creating this arrangement of songs, I treated each song as though it were a being – alive with story and emotion. I tried to listen to what the song was calling for in terms of tempo, instruments, harmonies, the feel and the flow. Even to the very last moment as the song was mastered, I meditated on what I hoped each listener would experience as their ears and hearts received it. I hope I got it right. Only you can decide if I did."

WHO IS JENNIFER COMEAU?
Jennifer Comeau has an engineer’s mind and a poet’s heart. Her earliest years in Buffalo, New York, were irrevocably influenced by the vibrant and poignant Irish folk music of the 60’s. Comeau inspires and unleashes our capacity for greatness with life-purpose retreats in the idyllic setting of Kennebunkport Maine.

Comeau has written all of the songs on her debut CD, Feed the Tribe, which is an eclectic mix of buoyant urban folk and blues. Comeau’s allure as a songwriter is the honesty and universality of her messages. “I write about my own sojourn, yet listeners tell me it’s as if my songs are speaking just to them.”
With a vocal range from lush and rich in her low register to mellifluous in the high, Comeau allows the uniqueness of each song to direct her performance.
