It was never the intention of the musician''s in Isolation Helmet to be a duo. Originally the band was to be a trio or quartet. You know, a traditional band. After several months of having people come and go, the bassist and drummer decided to figure out how to go it alone.
The band now needed to find out how to make the duo work. How did they do it? Jimmy Johnsen, the percussionist, plays a 300-piece, hand-carved-African kit and Roger Kummert the bassist plays a 30 foot long 69 string titanium bass through custom-made 30 foot speakers.
The band is sick. You will never believe that this is a duo. All tracks are recorded live. No overdubs.
Steven Cerio, one of the greatest illustrators working today, provides the cover photo (https://www.tradebit.com) and Jimmy provides the other photos. Guest vocalist Oona provides the only vocal track and the CD title.
