Recorded in 2007, After Always is Tom Buoni''s first full length album. Tom wrote, recorded and co-produced the album, singing and playing piano, guitar, and keyboards, and synthesizing drums. Backed with the talents of Lindsey Schechter on vocals, Martine Tyus on violin and Jake Reis on guitars, this album highlights both Tom’s poetic songwriting and refined instrumental performance. Recorded at Relay Recording, After Always was produced by Jay Alton, Tom Buoni, and Matt Munhall, mixed by Jon Fintel and Jay Alton, and mastered by Jon Fintel. Cover artwork is by Greg Gerken.
Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Tom learned the folk tradition of songwriting under the tutelage of renowned singer-songwriter Matt Munhall, who first pushed him to pursue recording music. Under Matt’s influence and the great modern folk and rock acts, like Wilco, Nickel Creek, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, Iron and Wine, and Joshua Radin, Tom proceeded to develop his own style of songwriting, striving for listeners of his music to be able to capture a little glimpse of the spirit of humanity, while he is always pushing the limits of his art with his own creativity.
