jack the original is a rock group based out of Vista, California. There are four members in the band: Gabe Lehner(guitar/vocals)

The band''s song writers, Kevin Martin and Gabe Lehner, house a virtual bank of songs that indulge many different styles and themes. They are heavily influenced by bands like The Beatles, Blur, and Ben Folds Five(among many others), so they put the greatest emphasis on good, catchy, and, most importantly, original and creative songwriting. Their songs are very melody-based, with lots of intricate harmonies in the styles of their many influences.
Their self-titled EP is a sample of their upcoming 16-track album, "Why the Long Face?" though there are a couple of hidden tracks that are exclusively on the EP.
