Details:
My name is Jair Crawford. I just recently turned 15 years old in April, 2005. I released this CD of my original compositions on my keyboard in 2004, when I was 14 years old. After selling the Jair Crawford CD to my friends in my school, church, family, piano studio, and on the local artist shelf of a store in my community, I now desire to share my music with many more people through CD Baby. My music is layered one instrument at a time through sequencing as I compose. I experiment with different genres including soft rock, hard rock, and synthetic. Below is a commentary I have provided on each song of my CD. In the text below, "goofing off" is a term I use for improvising.

By the Seaside - (The one that started it all) - I was playing on my smaller keyboard (it was the only one I had then) and just "goofing off" on the sequencer. I wrote it during the summer of 2000, between my fourth and fifth grade years when I was ten years old.

Sunrise - I wrote this one in 2001. It was one I played often on the piano at school in the fifth grade. It has a hint of country in it.

Horses on the Range - This one was early also. I was goofing off on the piano. I think I was ten when I wrote it. However, I didn''t sequence it on my computer until much later in 2002.

Photosphere - I wrote this in 2003. I wanted to see if I could make a spacey, synthetic type song, and this was the final result.

Heavy - (My first rock song!) YEEAAOOW! Anyway, the same thing applies here as it did in Photosphere. I decided I wanted to try a hard rock song out, and it turned out to be this one. I wrote this song in 2004.

Dreamsong - This song goes back to the "By the SeasideSunrise" style. I was trying to come up with another song for my CD. I wrote it in 2004. It sounds dreamy; like a happy ending of a story. Therefore, I decided to call it "Dreamsong."

Synthetic - I wrote this song in 2004. For this one, I wanted something bouncy and, of course, synthetic. As you will hear, I made sure it was bouncy and synthetic!

Ballad - (My most recent composition so far) - It was written in 2004. It is named "Ballad" because it sounds like one, even though I did not have any story in mind when I wrote the song.

Rock - (Bonus song.) This song is heavier than "Heavy." So why did I call it "Rock?" Because I wanted to (heehee!). This is my heaviest song so far. (Yeehaw!) I wrote it in 2004.
