Details:
Jay Logan Lance is a father of four living in Lititz, Pennsylvania. He teaches middle school teacher and is the assistant director for Camp Billings, a summer camp on the shore of Lake Fairlee in Vermont.

His songs are inspired from life at summer camp and from the relationships he developed while a counselor there in the late 1980''s and early 1990''s.

Jay''s debut CD, Fairlee, released in 1997, has sold over 300 copies. The most popular song on the album, Muddy Water, is a reflection on finding joy in life even when everything seems to be going wrong.

Vermont Skies, track number 8 on Fairlee, was written at Camp Billings in Jay''s first summer as a counselor there in 1987. Jay recalls standing out on a dirt mound across the road from the camp (during the construction of Rainshadow Field) and staring up at a cloudless sky the final week of camp.

Horseless, written in 1990, about the struggle to resist the modern temptations and remain true to your personal heritage, helped Jay win a talent show at Ball State University in 1991 and afford the Washburn acoustic guitar that he still plays today.

Ralph''s Song, track number 11, is a tribute to Ralph Lawrence, the long-time director of Camp Billings who has been an inspiration to hundreds and hundreds of former counselors, campers, and students who have had the fortune to cross his path.
