Simon began spinning yarns and telling tales in 1991 when he would perform for school groups and families at Youth Hostels in the United Kingdom before moving to the States. In 2003 Simon became a Children''s Librarian and professional storyteller. He is a member of the League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling.
Combining his passion for children''s literature and folklore, Simon creates a fun recording for all ages. These stories come from China, Wales, Norway and Spain. Simon performs using unique voices to animate his tales which bring the stories to life. Simon’s often-funny storytelling delights children and adults alike.
Simon has performed for many libraries, schools, and private functions and festivals, telling to young children and adults in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Vermont. He performed at the Connecticut River Festival, Big Splash, Wilder, VT; has been on the New Hampshire Summer Reading Roster for two consecutive years, and the Vermont Summer Reading Performers list for 2006 and 2008; performed at the 6th Annual Fiske Free Library Story Festival. He has entertained at the Hopkins Center, Hanover, NH for the HopStop series, and performed at the Three Apples Storytelling Festival in Massachusetts amongst other exciting events.
