Cher Nobyl began in 2006 as the new incarnation of a band that only had two remaining members. Taking into account the fact that each Cher Nobyl member listens to just about everything you can conceive (and some things you can''t), the goal from the beginning was to create an identity in heavy music that pulled from any genre/subgenre the group thought it could get away with, and still maintain the intensity that made us love hardcore and metal in the first place. Cher Nobyl was instantly known for being a shape-shifting beast that not even the band members could pin down if they tried. After about a year, the band established more of a creative identity. The full length album A Witness Between Us was recorded in December of 2007 and released in March of 2008 in conjunction with Soupbone Studios in Florence, CO. It is comprised of 10 songs that the band had been familiarizing fans with for up to a year at that point, and one brand new secret song (Next Fall) that no one besides the band members had heard. It proved to be a pleasant surprise and is now a favorite of the loyal. Cher Nobyl continues to march on with on with one purpose- creating music that reflects their desire to bring glory to the One and Only God by making the best, most original art possible and backing it up with a ridiculously energy-sapping live performance. Dirty, spastic, noisy, offbeat, ambient, airy, fluffy, jagged, daggumed heavy music and some pretty stuff too. Enjoy. And Cher Nobyl would absolutely love to get to know you. Talk at us all you want.
